And, while we have a lot to teach our Gurus about the peer-to-peer fundraising industry, we also know they can (and should!) teach us about all of the latest methodologies, tools and techniques which they’ve learned during their study and work experience thus far. Communications Guru

Job Type: Full-time, temporary, 1 fte, 5-6 months

Purpose:To contribute to PeerWorks’ corporate marketing strategy and the strategies of our clients, execute key communication objectives, track results and make further recommendations.

Main Responsibilities:

The position for Communications Guru requires someone that is truly passionate about changing the world using powerful messaging and storytelling across a variety of communication channels. Our Communications Guru will contribute to consulting engagements with our non-profit clients when communication assessment, development or execution is needed.

Support from the Communications Guru will also be needed for our corporate marketing initiatives. We position ourselves as thought leaders in the non-profit sector specifically as peer-to-peer fundraising experts. The goal of our Communications Guru will be to manage and strengthen this position by writing on behalf of PeerWorks in industry forums, blogs, and social media.

If completion of the work meets our high quality standards, our goal is to offer a full-time Communications position to the Guru, thus becoming a valuable member of our consulting team.

Measurements of success:

  • Third year bachelor study (Marketing, Communications) is preferred (not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, CRM/CMS platforms.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken); All final deliverables will be done in English.

Experience: Experience in the non-profit sector is preferable.

Internship Fee: € 300 per month, 1.0 fte

Data Guru

Job Type: Full-time, temporary, 1 fte, 6-12 months

Purpose: To conduct in-depth data analysis and contribute to white papers regarding peer-to-peer fundraising events and Community-Driven Action “kom in actie” programs in the Dutch non-profit industry.

Main Responsibilities: 

The Data Guru position requires someone that enjoys geeking out on numbers and possesses a big heart for charities. We are seeking someone that understands the importance and power of tracking and understanding big data. The goal of Data Guru will be to use the insights uncovered through in-depth data analysis to improve the performance of charities’ peer-to-peer fundraising events and programs.

Of course, analysis will be needed for individual events and programs. But, the Data Guru will also play a major role in conducting the first ever benchmarking study for peer-to-peer fundraising events in the Netherlands (to know more about the benchmark study give us a shout!) .

If completion of the work meets our high quality standards, our goal is to offer a full time Analyst position to the Guru, thus becoming a valuable member of our consulting team.

  • Senior year bachelor/masters study (i.e. Econometric, Economy, Math, Psychology) is preferred (not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, CRM/CMS platforms.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch (written and spoken); All final deliverables will be done in English.

Experience: Working with big data sets through your education, preferably in a previous internship.
